The Last Resort (In development)

The Last Resort is a half-hour comedy series about a dysfunctional family in Hawaii that is desperately trying to keep their family business afloat.

At its roots, the show explores how families survive under modern day pressures, but in a larger sense it can be viewed in terms of the big thematic "Re's" — return, redemption, reclamation, restoration, reconciliation, and rediscovery. We follow the Lee family as they engage these concepts, and along the way, humorously expose the disconnects between the paradise of tourist imagination and the real-deal Hawaii of infernal gridlock, post-plantation race relations and middle-class struggle.
